From court bookbinder to art dealer
In 1802 Philipp Friedrich Müller and Gerhard Gräff opened a bookbindery with a lending library in Karlsruhe, followed a year later by a bookshop. In 1808 the business was appointed court bookbinder.
Over the generations the Gräff family added branches, an antiquarian bookshop and finally the art business. Since the 1950s the shop has been at Waldstraße 20, and today Christoph Gräff runs it in the sixth generation.
Waldstraße 20, Karlsruhe
